Work continues on storyboards. I spend 8 hours a  day at the Seattle Public Library, faithfully creating. I bring a leftover turkey sandwich and chips in a small plastic container everyday. My goal is to have the entire video story-boarded with no gaps whatsoever so as to impress the band. Storyboards are not only useful for impressing people, but mainly they provide a visual blueprint for myself and the band as we work against the green screen desert. This is key if we're to get things done quickly on the next tour.

After touring with the glorious Family Force 5 for almost a month, I am now at home again, editing footage, storyboarding, painting, and designing. The main character in the video Aurora, was originally going to be a real human, she has now become fully computer generated, a craft I am no master in. But I am facing the world of CG with the help of some 3D masters to create and setup the character. I will then be animating the character all by myself, based on my own dance movements filmed beforehand. Touring will be happening again for a brief 4 days in December, in which I will be filming everything we couldn't get on the first tour. Overall this is my favorite video I've ever made, but of course it's not finished yet, so we'll see.
The thing I wasn't expecting about the first tour, was the magical connection I felt with the band. At first I was surprised at how mellow the band actually was. They are often very relaxed. I felt kind of awkward, I was expecting a non stop dance party to be happening, but instead the days often consisted of relaxed conversations about music and life.
Slowly trust was created between me and the band, at first individually, and then as a group. I hardly worked the first week, just helped with load in/out. But more importantly my work was understanding my place and "job" so to speak, in the social life of this band.
